RECOMMENDED FIRST MEDITAIONS
From Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls
The Essene Gospel of John

ENOCH

The esoteric goal which Moses projected for humity is expressed in his words

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not; God took him

Few have ever comprehended the incomparable grandeur of this sentence. Moses was stating that the consciousness of Enoch was united with the Cosmic Consciousness and dissolved into it.
The realization of this state which he himself reached on Mount Nebo, has been the supreme goal Moses projecte for humanity.

THE LAW

The law does not exist; it is valid.   The Law is formless, contains all wisdom, all power, all love, all reality.   It never became; it never disappears.
The Law is everywhere present in the universe, for it is the cohesive force which binds the universe together in all its parts.
Man can no more be apart from the unity of the Cosmic Ocean than a cell in his body can be apart from his body.
Man's illusions of separateness is caused by his deviations from the Law, which impose self-created limitations in his life.
Man can always return to the source from which he came and from which he heas never in reality been away, when he so makes the decision.
The Law shows man all he must do and know and be to unite with the Cosmic Ocean.

THE ESSENE GOSPEL OF JOHN

The Laws are written in everything that has life; in the grass, the trees, the rivers, mountains, birds of heaven and fish of the sea; but chiefly in man himself.
Life is the ever-livign word, teaching the true laws to man.
The Laws of life are in your heart and spirit, your breath and bone, your flesh and every least part of your body.
Seek the fresh air of the forests, of the fields,; put off your shoes and your clothing and suffer the air to embrace all your body.  Thenbreath long and deeply that the angle of air may be brought within you.
Seek the angel of water; put off your shoes and your clothing and suffer the angel of water to embrace all your body.
Seek the angel of sunlight; put off your choes and your clothing and suffer the sunlight to embrace all your body.  Then breath long and deeply that the angel of sunlight nay be brought within you.
The angels of air and water and sunlight are brethren given to your that you may go always from one to the other.
In the air, the water, the earth, plants, sunbeams, in the depths and in the heights the laws of life speak to you, that you may understand the words and the will of the living God.
The foods you eat from the table of God-the fruits of trees, the grains and grasses of the field, the mild of beasts and the honey of bees-give strength and youth to the body and you will never see disease.
Your body is that which you eat and your spirit is that which you think.

Your Heavenly Father is Love.
Your Earthly Mother is Love.
The Son of Man is Love.
Love is eternal.
Love is stronger than death.

THE ESSENCE COMMUNIONS

The Tree of Life has seven roots symbolizing the earthly forces and seven branches symbolizing the heavenly forces.  Each root and branch represent a specific force or power.
Man sits at the center of the Tree of Life, half his body above the earth contacting the heavenly forces, half below the earth utilizing the earthly forces.
To be in harmony with the invisible forces man must make conscious effort to contact them.
Each heavenly force has an earthly force corresponding to it.  To conact the one means to be in touch with the corresponding force.
Communions held morning and evening to contact these forces enable the individual to regulate his life by the inspirations received from them.
A different earthly force is meditated upon each morning, a different heavenly one each evening.
To practice the communions makes man conscious of the different forces and energies flowing through him, aware of the organs and centers in his being which can receive their current of energy; it stablishes a connection between each force and the organ which can absorb, utilize and control it.
Man has different bodily systems to absorb different energies from food, air, water; but he must control and utilize their powers through his own conscious efforts.
The Essene week begins on Friday evening.
The goal of man is union with the HEAVENLY FATHER, the Supreme Power, the totality of cosmic law.  To contemplate Him on Friday evening is to become aware that the universe is a process of continuous creation in which man must take a part.
To contemplate the EARTHLY MOTHER on Saturday morning is to contact the nutritive forces of the Earth and understand that the body is formed of the elements of the earth and nourished with them through food from plant life.
To contemplate the ANGEL OF ETERNAL LIFE on Saturday evening is to understand there is no limit to man's progress since the cosmos is an inexhaustible store of energies available to him as he perfects his receptive organs and grains power to overcome the gravitational forces of earth.
To contemplate on Sunday morning the ANGEL OF EARTH, the generating power of the top soil and in growing plants is to contact the generating power in nature which can regenerate the human body.
The Sunday evening contemplation of the ANGEL OF WORK, the great things produced by human labor, masterpieces of literature, art, science and philosophy, produces a power and energy which can be absorbed by the consciousness of man.
The Monday morning contemplation of the ANGEL OF LIFE draws the innumerable sources of the life force especially from trees and forests to increase the vitality to increase in any part of man's body.
On Monday evening, to contemplate the ANGEL OF PEACE teaches man his most immediate duty is to create peace in and around himself.
On Tuesday morning, contemplating the ANGEL OF JOY gives man the capacity to absorb joy from all forms of beauty, thus increasing his inner harmony and serenity.
Tuesday evening's contemplation of the ANGEL OF POWER teaches man that currents of cosmic power continually unite all forms of life and connect man with all other living creatures.
To contemplate the ANGEL OF THE SUN on Wednesday morning enables solar rays to penetrate and give the fire of life to the body.
To contemplate the ANGEL OF LOVE on Wednesday evening enable man to understand that life is an expression of live, and the cosmic oceanof love exists everywhere, uniting all forms of life.
Contemplating the ANGEL OF WATER on Thursday morning and the waters of earth, river, lake and ocean, realizing that all livign organisms as well as their food consist largely on water, Man understands that upon the purity of water in the body and the environment depends the perfection of both.
On Thursday evening, contemplating the ANGEL OF WISDOM teaches that thought is the highest and most powerful of all cosmic energies.  It pervades all space and never perishes.  By tuning in to superior thought currents man attains intuitive knowledge and wisdom.
On Friday morning, contempating the ANGEL OF AIR and the atmosphere shows to man that breathing in the link between the organism and the cosmos.  A certain rhythmic breathing enables the body to absorb energies from the atmosphere.
Through eons of time man has gradually developed within his being a certain receptive apparatus through which he is able to absorb and utilize the currents of force flowing in and around him, and consciously utilize them as sources of energy, karmony and knowledge.
An essential part of an individual's evolution is systematic daily practice of opening these subtle centers of the body, giving access to the universal storehouse of cosmic forces.
The development of these receptive centers is an essential part of the individual's evolution.

THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS

The Law was planted in the garden of the Brotherhood to enlighten the heart of man.
and to make straight before him
all the ways of true righteousness,
a humble spirit, an even temper,
a freely compassional nature,
and eternal goodness and understanding and insight,
and mighty wisdom which believes in all God's works
and a confident trust in His many blessings
and a spirit of knowledge on all thing of Great Order,
loyal feeling towards all the children of truth,
a radiant purity which loathes everything impure,
a discretion regarding all the hidden things of truth
and secrets of inner knowledge.
                                                "The Manual of Discipline"

The Law was planted to reward the children of Light
with healing and abundant peace,
with long life,
with fruitful seed of everlasting blessings,
with eternal joy
in immortality of eternal Light.
                                                 "The Manual of Discipline"

I thank Thee, heavenly father,
because Thou hast put me
at a source of running streams,
at a living spring in a land of drought,
watering an eternal garden of wonders,
the Tree of Life, mystery of mysteries,
growing everlasting branches for eternal planting
to sink their roots into the stream of life
from an eternal source.
And Thou, Heavenly Father,
protect their fruits
with the angels of the day
and of the night
and with flames of eternal Light burning every way.
                                              "Thanksgiving Psalms"

I am grateful, Heavenly Father,
for Thou hast raised me to an eternal height
and I walk in the wonders of the plain.
Thou gavest me guidance to reach Thine eternal company
from the depths of the earth.
Thou hast purified my body
to join the army of the angels of the earth
and my spirit to reach
the congregation of the heavenly angels.
Thou gavest man eternity
to praise at dawn and dust
Thy works and wonders
in joyful song.
                                            "Thanksgiving Psalms"

I will praise Thy works
with songs of Thanksgiving
continually, from period to period,
in the circuits of the day, and in its fixed order;
with the coming of light from its source
and at the turn of the evening and the outgoing of light
at the outgoing of darkness and the coming in of day,
continually,
in all the generations of time.
                                            "Thansgiving Psalms"

May He bless thee with every good,
may He keep thee from all evil
and illumine thy heart with the knowledge of life
and favor thee with eternal wisdom,
And may He give His Sevenfold blessings upon thee
to everlasting Peace.
                                            "The Manual of Discipline"

With the coming of day
I embrace my Mother,
with the coming of night
I join my Father,
and with the outgoing of evening and morning
I wil breathe Their Law,
and I will not interrupt these Communions
until the end of time.
                                           " The Manual of Discipline"

I have reached the inner vision
and through Thy spirit in me
I have heard Thy wondrous secret.
Through Thy mystic insight
Thou hast caused a spring of knowledge
to well up within me,
a fountain of power,
pouring forth living waters,
a flood of love
and of all-embracing wisdom
like the splendor of eternal Light.
                                          "The Book of Hymns"

THE SEVENFOLD PEACE

Peace with the Body
Peace with the Mind
Peace with he Family
Peace with Humanity
Peace with Culture
Peace with the Kingdom of the Earthly Mother
Peace with the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father

THE SEVEN BEAUTITUDES
(THE ESSENE INTERPRETATION)

"BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT:   FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN."
Simplicity is a natural and spiritual law from which mankind constantly deviates.  One who carries around within him a burden of traditions, religions, social or racial, handicaps his spiritual evolution.
"BLESSED ARE THEY THAT MOURN:   FOR THEY SHALL BE COMFORTED."
Humanity lives in an ocean of suffering as a consequence of departure from the Law.   The start of a new spiritual life is marked by mourning or repentance for deviation from the Law.
"BLESSED ARE THE MEEK:   FOR THEY SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH."
Those who conform to the Law and are in full harmony with it are nature's masterpieces.   When man accepts Jesus' words, "Thy will, not mine, be done," he is obeying the law of meekness.
"BLESSED ARE THEY WHICH DO HUNGER AND THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS:   FOR THEY SHALL BE FILLED."
Righteousness is truth manifested in action.  He who hungers and thirsts after righteousness is receptive to truth and knowledge of the Law.
"BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL:  FOR THEY SHALL OBTAIN MERCY."
To be merciful is to forgive others, to avoid reacting in thought, feeling or action to the thoughts, feelings and actions of others.   Just as a shadow disppears before the light, by strenghening the good, evil disappears of itself.
"BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART:  FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD."
The pure in heart are those whose feeling bodies are nourished with love, forgiveness and compassion, not hatred, revenge or cruelty.  The feeling body is a field of force around man which has great power in his individual evolution and can help to raise him higher and higher.   If ma deviates from the Law, the feeling body unleashes destructive forces which soon become his master.
"BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS:  FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED THE CHILDREN OF GOD."
Peace is a basic law of life meaning harmony with all the powers and forces within and around us.   Peace is the manifestation of communion with the kingdom of Heaven.   The Sevenfold Peace, revealed in the Seven beautitudes of the Sermon on the Mount, means harmony with the body, mind, family, humanity, culture, the kingdom of the Earthly Mother and the kingdom of the Heavenly Father.   It is one of the most sublime revelations of all ages.
