ALL-AGES "SUPPORT THE SCENE" SHOW SCHEDULED FOR THE BIG DIPPER ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2001 FEATURING 10 MINUTES DOWN

RAWK the Inland Northwest, a nonprofit organization based in Spokane,
Washington, announces that it will host an all-ages concert, on Saturday,
October 13, 2001, at the Big Dipper, Second and Washington, in downtown
Spokane.  Doors open at 6:15 PM, with the show starting at 7:00 PM, and
ending around 10:30 PM.  Tickets are $7, and available only at the door.

10 MINUTES DOWN, possibly one of Spokane's hottest energetic bands, headline
a local 4 band show to benefit the local Spokane ALL-AGES scene.  They are
the winners of Round #1 at Thirsty's Battle of the Bands and will keep
playing to defend that title. 10MD had a busy summer of touring and, notably,
playing the Vans Warped Tour in WA and ID, as they have done for the past
couple years. This is a 7-piece ska band with a wide array of songs and,
always, a positive stage presence. They also released an album this summer
named Fluke. Contact for 10MD is Ted Teske (990-5082).

BUDDY RUCKUS, a long-standing "tradition" in Spokane's pop-punk
scene, plays as a second headliner. With an uncompromising message, Buddy
Ruckus lays it on the table for all to see while driving you with melodic
guitars and blended harmonies, all in the foreground of a stage presence as
tight as their pants (note from Dale:  Myk wrote this part, and most of the
rest of the release - just thought you'd want to know).... Coming back to the
scene after a short spring and summer hiatus, Buddy Ruckus regroups with
former vocalist/guitarist Marquis Ashley to re-enter the scene
and pick up right where they left off.......

ILLUSION33 of Sandpoint, ID blends musical styles ranging from rock, funk,
and a tinge of hardcore. Hold on tight, lead singer Jason Stoddard's
pounding bass and heartfelt lyrics tear through your soul without mercy.
Jesse Bennett brings it to life-blistering fusion riffs and harmonic vocals
that pull you in, leaving you begging for more. Drummer KC Carter's drumming
is intense, almost indescribable - KC and prodigy are synonymous - he will
consume ever fiber of your being. The band states influences being: Green Day
and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. New to the scene and looking to explode....

Opening off the night will be grunge-rockers SOAPBOX. Often confused with a
hardcore band from Europe, these guys are out to stake their claim at the
Big Dipper and open the show with intensity. Soapbox's single greatest
influence is the late great Nirvana. Also new to the scene and looking to break
out....

RAWK has had two good shows in a row, and we plan to make it three.
Actually, we plan to make a big run - come check us out.  Spokane needs a
real scene.  Cruising Division is not it.
