ALL AGES HARDCORE SHOW FEATURING FEW AND FAR BETWEEN, SUFFICE, SELF
INHERITANCE, and NORMAL
RAWK the Inland Northwest, a non-profit
organization based in Spokane,
Washington, announces that it will sponsor an all-ages benefit concert on
Saturday, December 16, 2000, at the Big Dipper, Second and Washington, in
downtown Spokane. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:00 PM,
and ending around 10:00 PM. Tickets are $7, and available only at the door.
The show is to benefit the organization to secure more funds to be able to
keep doing concerts in Spokane.
Normal, a Korn/ P.O.D. influenced hardcore band from Moses Lake, will
headline the show. We are looking forward to hearing this band - which
sounds like it is the real deal.
Self Inheritance, a local Spokane band, will precede Normal with their
mix of screams and driving guitar riffs. Recently have been playing shows at
the Quarter Horse downtown and local house shows at The Soapbox. They have
grown their fan base and matured their sound. Sound could be compared to
Frodus, Sick of It All, Blindside, etc...)
Suffice screams intensity with harsh vocals and ghostlike whispering,
with hormonic singing and a great stage presence with thundering guitars
meshed with throbbing double bass on the drums. Suffice takes the modern day
idea of Metal to a whole new level of passion.
Few and Far Between, another local band has just recently started
playing the Spokane club circuit (i.e. Ichabods, Boomerangs, etc...). With
two members hailing from the band Forgiven, they have brought maturity and
intensity to the band. The guitars retain Few and Far Between's signature
aggression with an abundance of vocal intensity and band energy. But the
focus here is on maturity and introspection rather than angst. You'll get the
feeling that these boys have a broken heart or two as you belt out the lyrics
and pound your fists, feeling that stinging sensation of pain and hope. A
local band putting themselves out on the edge for all the world to see.
