PUNK/HARDCORE ALL-AGES SHOW AT THE BIG DIPPER, FEATURING SPOKEN

RAWK the Inland Northwest, a non-profit ministry organization based in
Spokane, Washington, announces that it will sponsor an all-ages concert on
Friday, October 27, 2000, at the Big Dipper, Second and Washington, in
downtown Spokane.  Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 6:30 PM,
and ending around 10:00 PM.  Tickets are $8, and available only at the door.

This punk/hardcore show will feature Spoken, an accomplished hardcore band
from Fayetteville, Arkansas.  This band has recently released its third
album on Metro One Records, "Echoes of the Spirit Still Dwell."  The first
two albums were both nominated for Dove Awards, in the hard music category.
Spoken is currently touring throughout the United States.  They have played
in Spokane just once before.

The other hardcore band appearing is Spokane's own Elderstaar, previously
known as HFC.  This band has been playing a number of local shows recently,
in addition to making their first appearance at Tomfest (Stevenson,
Washington) in July.  They are planning more than one Northwest tour.

Joining them are two punk bands, Not Long After from the Vancouver/Battle
Ground, WA area, and Park Side Vendors from Kelowna, BC.  The latter has not
previously appeared in Spokane.  They have recently recorded a six-song demo
album.  The former band, Not Long After, released an EP of emo/pop punk
entitled "Box of Chocolates" a year ago.
