Great name for a Lilac City Roller Girl eh?
It's also The Big Dipper's current status with Spokane Police Department.
Before SPD deemed the Big Dipper a Chronic Nuisance Property they issued this notice dated 4/6/07.
To abate the issues a plan was agreed upon 4/10/07. RAWK, a lessee of Select Realty, was not a party to the agreement.
RAWK, hosted all the events open to the general public. To do that, they secured a city Cabaret License. It has to be renewed each year. On June 30, 2007 RAWK hosted an event that was investigated by SPD. Violations were observed. The Spokane Police Department denied a Cabaret license to RAWK with this letter dated July 11, 2007
Dipper building owners complied with the requirements of the Fire and Building Departments, and wrote SPD this letter October 15, 2007. The Police Department responded with this letter dated October 22, 2007.
We would like to lease the property. We feel it should continue a "an urban grange hall." It should be used by a community based organization like LCRG and/or KYRS. They in turn should rent out the club when they are not using it. Liberal terms are available.
